Linkin Park On 'From Zero' & Their Return To Australia: 'We're More Assured That This Is What We Want To Be Doing'

Monster Jam: Jon Zimmer

How did you get your start? I started with a small team in Pennsylvania as a crew chief and then became driver. Was it something I always wanted? Yes!

What makes a good driver? Someone that can understand the truck and what it is doing mechanically.

How much work/time/money goes into building a monster truck? A truck costs around $250,000. And it truly doesn't take long to build one but all maintenance throughout the year is unbelievable.

Do you have a signature move? What is it? No, I just love to go as big as I can for the fans!

What's your favorite part about competing? Fans, they are what drive us. They pay their hard earned money for us to live the dream.

Craziest thing that’s ever happened to you driving a truck? Backflips.

What is it about monster truck driving that sets it apart from other competitive sports? The abuse on the trucks, the amount of show we do and the fans. We take a lot of time to make sure we meet every fan we have.

Monster Jam goes down at Domain Stadium, Saturday 24 October, with shows kicking of at 2pm and 7.30pm.
