Melbourne Guitar Show Focus: Cat Canteri

More Cat Canteri Cat Canteri

What was the best piece of advice you were given when you first started learning guitar? Put your fingers right behind the frets.

What's your fave guitar/amp/pedal set-up? My go-to tremolo, overdrive and reverb pedals are all made by a Tino, who's an amp builder/repairer in Reservoir (Melbourne's northern suburbs). They're called T-Pedals.

If you could jam with one person, who would it be and why? Probably Ry Cooder. To feel his sense of groove and watch and listen to how he plays up close and personal would be amazing.

If money wasn't an issue, what guitar would you buy and why? Jeff Lang has the most incredible sounding 1920s Dobro that I played once in his studio. If money wasn't an issue I'd try and buy it from him, but I know he'd never sell it.

When and where can we catch you at the Melbourne Guitar Show? 4 Aug, AON Mezzanine stage, 11.30am; 5 aug, AON Mezzanine stage, 10.30am.
