Melbourne Fringe Festival Focus: Accomplished-ish

Answered by: Laura Buskes

Describe your show in a tweet? Disney meets Tim Minchin in this hilariously heartfelt cabaret. Journey through the rejection and denial of an aspiring actress caught in the quest for fame.

Who will your show appeal to? Other artists mostly; it will hit home with anyone who has chased their dreams, but especially anyone who has sought the approval of people they don't even like. Also anyone who enjoys musicals.

What's your creative process? How do you develop your ideas? I usually write about things that highlight a particular chapter in my life. I like to explore those moments as a concept and discover what they mean on a broader level; sometimes I expand, this time I honed in.

What will make you stand out in the Fringe crowd? Witty songs, paired with a tongue-in-cheek perspective of the film and theatre industry.

When and where is your Fringe show? 15 - 23 Sep, The Improv Conspiracy.
