In a classic case of why didn't I think of that? Meet Okilly Dokilly, a Phoenix-based metal (or "nedal") group with a penchant for all things God-fearing Simpsons hero Ned Flanders. And by all things, we mean ALL THINGS. As in dressing like him (obviously), but also talking like him, and according to their Facebook bio, singing songs based on "direct Ned quotes."
The band members are Head Ned, Bled Ned, Red Ned, Thread Ned and Stead Ned, and in an interview with Adelaide music mag Rip It Up (bless your cotton socks for unearthing such a beautiful beast), Head reveals the band's sound: "Not as fast as Bartcore, and a little cleaner than Krusty Punk. Not as heavy as Homer J.ent- Nedal is a happy medium in the Simpscene." With aspirations that simply amount to getting Simpsons creator Matt Groening's autograph, "even if it comes on a cease and desist letter", we hope for only the best for your new favorite nedal band.
