Constantly searching through Soundcloud for bangers, sort of like Indiana Jones through the Temple of Doom, I'm always coming across local Perth producers coming out with some serious fire-emoji worthy tunes. For example, the collaborational project between young Perth duo Harison Bailie and Jayden Healey, entitled TWERL. The song in question I came across was Omenta, a bass-heavy tune with crisp percussion hits that instantly struck me thanks to the serious Carmack-cross-Losco vibes throughout the single. Since causing a bit of a stir in the trap scene with their debut, the duo have now released OG Bobby, a follow-up single that samples Que's massive hip-hop banger OG Bobby Johnson. With vocal cuts throughout soaring bass, synth and a fury of percussion, it's easy to see why TWERL are a duo raising some serious eyebrows and with collaborations to come with local trap heavyweights, as well as a Halloween support slot for international trap act Loudpvck, this is definitely not the last you'll be hearing of them.
