The track, which features US producer Dreamchild, follows up from the release with fellow local producer Luude..
If you've been keeping up with Perth's bustling electronic scene, chances are you've probably heard of trap duo TWERL, and their Carmack-infused, percussion-driven sound. We've featured them before with their bass-heavy single OG Bobby and included their collaboration with Luude in our Perth Sounds From Spotify playlist, but now we can finally hear the next piece from the project, an equally large single called RUFF. Featuring US up and coming producer Dreamchild, RUFF takes everything we've come to love from TWERL with their previous work and crammed it into a short, but definitely sweet single. It doesn't take long to get going, with a percussion-soaked drop that sports a high-pitched synth melody and roaring bass. In comparison to Coco Butter and OG Bobby, RUFF seems more stripped-back and raw, instead focusing on a cleaner, more refined sound that we're definitely loving. Opening up their year with an impromptu performance at Origin NYE, it seems that 2016 is well and truly going to be the year that TWERL blow up, and we can't wait for it to hurry up and happen.
