‘I Stay Out Of It. I Cook’: Even After 13 Years Between Albums, Coming Up With A Karnivool Setlist Remains Quite The Feat

LISTEN: The National 'The Rains of Castamere'

The National's Matt Berninger has contributed to the Game of Thrones soundtrack. Hear the sorrowing song here.

If you've been keeping up with Game of Thrones (I know I have), you might have noticed something familiar in the soundtrack, specifically the voice of THE NATIONAL's frontman Matt Berninger.

The Ohio-born, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter contributes vocals to the song ‘The Rains Of Castamere’, which is an integral part of the story and can be heard during the closing credits for the episode Blackwater of season 2.

Berninger’s harrowing baritone is instantly recognisable, drawing you in as he sings about the destruction of House Reyne by the all-powerful House Lannister. This is a great teaser of what we could expect from the group who are currently recording new material.

Check it below. Inspiring stuff.
