GRMM's six-track electronic extravaganza is one of the strongest releases this year.

Just take a look at our electronic tab and you'll see that Sydney-based producer GRMM is someone we've frothed over from day one. After charming us with remix after remix after remix, a sexy, smooth collab with drum-hitter/massive babe Kilter and a bunch of massive singles, the pinnacle of GRMM's year is just starting to hit, with the release of his debut EP Die Young and the announcement that the producer, real name Benn Markos, will be hitting up the capital cities supporting UK electronic gods Rudimental. Gushing aside, Die Young is one of the strongest electronic releases out of Australia this year, with all six of the singles from the EP being strong-as-fuck in their own right. The EP kicks off with the title track, a smooth, synth-heavy single featuring Wild Eyed Boy that we were introduced to last month. If you think that the title track Die Young is big, Markos takes it up a notch with the second single Electrify, a massive tune packed full of swirling synth and hand claps, as well as vocals by US vocalist Father Dude. The Erin Marshall feature Gold is a more vocal-heavy single, but still manages to pack a good punch before launching into the single Travolta Cool, my personal favourite single from the EP. Rounding up with another Father Dude feature, the piano-heavy affair Level Up, and one of the producer's earlier singles from last year, Circles, GRMM's debut EP is one of the strongest of the year, with the smooth synth licks and fury of percussion of the EP landing it as one of my favs, at least.

The EP release isn't even the biggest thing going on for the 24-year-old producer, with the producer supporting UK powerhouse Rudimental in their Australian tour, with a live-set that is to include special guest vocalists and collaborators as it ventures across Australia in December. Die Young is available on iTunes HERE.
