Listen: Alpine - Foolish (Hopium Remix)

After launching onto the scene with the dark and emotional single Cut and its follow up – the wildly popular Dreamers (featuring Snakadaktal's Phoebe Lou on vocal work), mysterious Australian producers Hopium have cemented themselves as one of the most innovative production duos in the game. Since then, the Victorian two-some have released another single in Right Now (and its really damn good video, which you can watch HERE) and now, have taken on Foolish, the first single from Aussie band Alpine’s album Yuck. Ditching the up-beat guitar work for dark, looping synth and snare hits, Hopium’s reimagining is far more deep and dark, but still manages to keep the up-beat, feel-good vibes of the original during the choruses.
