You know by now that we aim to please by keeping our finger on the pulse of what music is going to be hot. One such example is a new find of ours, ALABAMA SHAKES. These guys hail from, you guessed it, Alabama; and they're making waves in the ocean that we call the music biz.
They're kind of bluegrass, kind of soul, and a bit of R&B thrown in there too. But what has bloggers of the world captivated is frontwoman Brittany Howard, who belts out the songs as if it's her last hour on earth. She manages encapsulate a loud soulful sound, whilst not damaging her vocal chords and distorting everything. Together, Alabama Shakes are something out of this world, their musical souls much older than their bodies would tell.
