When did you start making music and why? Cool Edit Pro. Year 7. Then mid-high school when we’d walked around the school block for lunch one too many times and thought there was something else we could put out less-athletic structures to. 

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Ominous BigBand Goofball Soul. 

What other events/gigs are you looking forward to at Leaps & Bounds? Quite a lot actually now that I look at it! The word count in this text box won’t allow me to list much. Emma D, Icecream Hands, Do Yo Thangs, #1 Dads... Strewth! 

What do you think is the best thing about a festival like Leaps & Bounds? There’s a lot on, all over the place, in an area of Melbourne that’s got more venues for music than anywhere else I can think, and you don’t have like one day to run around trying to see it all. 

What are your favourite places to hang out in the City of Yarra and why? The Evelyn because they have seen our faces all too much but are lovely. The Real Greek Souvlaki because a stan-the-man is fun/required. Anywhere that hosts great bands, which is always potentially anywhere...

Why should people come and see your band at Leaps & Bounds? Who knows what shirt Hudson’s going to wear from his Hawaiian selection? Dancing too. Instrumental so you can just focus.

When and where for your Leaps & Bounds gig? Saturday 18 Jul at Shadow Electric! We’re releasing a new single so come party with all the HopeStreet gang. A label of love, doors open 7pm.
