Mo'JuWhen did you start making music and why? I’ve been making music for as long as I can remember. I was born into a fairly musical family. Music was celebrated. Not only playing it, but listening to records and going to live shows.
Sum up your musical sound in four words? Narrative, noir, honest, evolving.
What other events/gigs are you looking forward to at Leaps & Bounds? STELLA ANGELICO! I love Stella. Such a talented, talented singer/songwriter/entertainer. Seriously one of the best musical artists working in Melbourne, in my humble opinion at least, haha.
What do you think is the best thing about a festival like Leaps & Bounds? Community. It makes you stop and appreciate how lucky we are in this city to have so many live music venues, bands, radio stations and councils that support the arts! Everything local! It’s great.
What are your favourite places to hang out in the City of Yarra and why? The Gasometer, Le Bon Ton, Alimentari, The Old Bar... so many places. Bars, restaurants and cafes – it’s an exceptional town.
