When did you start making music and why? I always made up songs as a kid though I couldn’t play an instrument. I got the chance to play bass in the school band around 14 and that was that.
Sum up your musical sound in four words? Broad palette dynamic pop.
What other events/gigs are you looking forward to at Leaps & Bounds? I’m gonna go see Dave Graney and Clare Moore. I’m also gonna see me old buddy Ash Naylor.
What do you think is the best thing about a festival like Leaps & Bounds? I love that it’s collective in nature, that all around town people are connected by the same phenomenon somehow.
What are your favourite places to hang out in the City of Yarra and why? I like just walking around Richmond. It reminds me of when I would trudge around with demo tape in hand back in the day. It’s the ghosts I like.
Why should people come and see your band at Leaps & Bounds? Our band has drums, guitars, strings, brass and all that. We love making dynamic “orchestral” rock music together. It’s uplifting.
When and where for your Leaps & Bounds gig? We’re on at the Richmond Theatrette on Saturday 18 Jul.
