Finally Returning To Australia, Faithless Are Paying Homage To The Beloved Maxi Jazz While Looking To The Future

Leaps & Bounds: Hailey Cramer

When did you start making music and why? When I was just a wee little six-year-old, my teacher told my folks that I had a penchant for singing so they enrolled me in Johnny Young’s Talent School!

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Bangin’-beats, melt-your-face-bass, take-you-to-church-harmonies.

What other events/gigs are you looking forward to at Leaps & Bounds? I’m super pumped for #1 Dads, Foreign Brothers and Kira Puru! But really there are so many awesome bands playing, it’s hard to choose!

What do you think is the best thing about a festival like Leaps & Bounds? I love the fact that a local council like City of Yarra is getting behind such a broad range of local music. It’s also a great chance to get out and see some new artists.

What are your favourite places to hang out in the City of Yarra and why? I’m a sucker for Addict Cafe coffee, followed by paella and a show at Kanella, or just hanging out at Black Cat.

Why should people come and see your band at Leaps & Bounds? We’re bringing a full band and blasting soulful melodies/harmonies over some seriously big beats; come and dance with us!

When and where for your Leaps & Bounds gig? Saturday 4 Jul at Evelyn Hotel. Doors open at 9pm. Come come come!
