Kid Cudi has checked himself into rehab for "depression and suicidal urges"

The rapper told social media through an emotional social media update this morning..

More Kid Cudi Kid Cudi Profile

After being relatively quiet over the past couple of years, Ohio rapper Kid Cudi has been slowly building up the hype towards the release of his new album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'. That hype reached fever pitch just this week when he shared two new previews from the album in Frequency and Surfin' featuring Pharrel Williams, both below:

Today though Kid Cudi has revealed in an emotional Facebook status update that he's been battling some serious mental health issues not just in recent times, but essentially over the course of his career and life. The post discusses his shame at being a leader to so many while behind the scenes struggling with depression and anxiety to the point where he's now had to check himself into rehab. Even so, the rapper remained confident he'll still be able to perform at an upcoming scheduled appearance for Complexcon alongside the likes of Skrillex and Travis Scott and more, and that his upcoming releases including the new album won't be affected.

While we don't normally like to dabble in celebrity gossip so to speak, it only seemed right to share something like this as an example that depression and mental health problems can affect anyone at any time, and it's imperitive for those affected to feel okay to talk about it.

Read the post below, and head to his FACEBOOK to keep up to speed with further goings on.
