INTERVIEW: The Knife 'Shaking The Habitual'

Trip out with The Knife during this interview where they speak of their latest record, 'Shaking The Habitual'.

“To let go of what we already know about music and explore what we didn’t know.” Quoted by the brainchild of Swedish siblings Olof Dreijer and Karin Dreijer Andersson, THE KNIFE on their newly released album ‘Shaking The Habitual’

This trippy-as-shit interview explains the thoughts and reasoning’s behind it all. Lets all take to time to step into another world where only THE KNIFE makes sense.

If you have any interest in any kind of pop you get on the radio then don’t listen to this album. Their goal for the album is all about redefining everything and the border between normal and strange is erased. Playing traditional instruments in non-traditional ways, the duo strives to create unique sounds and after hearing the album we all agree they can tick that box.

A standout track for us is ‘Full Of Fire’ crazy electro-fried beats with Karen’s voice fading in and out reminding us of the crackling sound of a 1920’s radio. The powerful keyboard mixes with the drum loops that hold it all together.

‘Shaking The Habitual’ is the follow up to the equally redefining ‘Silent Shout’, which was released seven years ago.

This is the future.
