In the third episode of season two of Insights, Pile TV hears what Chris ‘Emoh’ Emerson, aka electronic producer What So Not, has to say about his creative profession. Previously a humble accountant, What So Not has risen to great heights in the music biz, gaining slots at huge festivals such as Coachella, Holy Ship and Lollapalooza. Currently signed to record label OSWLA (Skrillex, Carmada, Kill The Noise), Chris has some useful career advice for young producers and DJ’s out there who are just getting their foot in the industry’s door.
Chris talks about how no matter how much of a good time you’re having in your creative industry, you have to maintain a life plan for where you are going in your career. Having fun touring and meeting amazing people is great, but you need to think beyond that lifestyle and where you see yourself in the future.
