Le Diner En Blanc is a concept that originated in France; it's an all-white-attire open-air dinner party. Brisbane is hosting its fourth edition of the chic picnic (chicnic, if you will) on Saturday 17 October.
The location of the event won't be revealed to ticket holders until the night - diners will gather at meeting points around the city before being taken to the venue, be it by foot, bus or train. Very mysterious. Last year, the fun took place at Roma Street parklands.
And then, when all the magic is done and dusted, everyone is to pack up their tables, belongings and rubbish, leaving no trace that they were ever there.
The capacity this year is 2000 tickets - that's one big picnic.
