Nick Monaco- Crewe love legend gives us a guided tour of his hometown San Francisco and his favourite places to hit up.
Edging into the scene through his affiliation with SOUL CLAP (the kings of the new age soul and funk) NICK MONACO has made quite a name for himself.
With his unprecedented rhythm and genre defying creativity, it's no shock that he became a member of the Crewe Love team, his funky jams are everything that Crewe Love pursue.
Nick only recently last year released his debut album 'Mating call' on SOULCLAP RECORDS which incorporates his own voice and instrumental to create a fruity and energetic variation of house-funk jams.

Nick's personality shines through his sets and has San Francisco written all over it, a city which just oozes 'cool' with their anything goes attitude, there's no one style or no one way to be, just the freedom and confidence to express yourself- and that's exactly what Nick projects in his music. Due to this, we thought we had to ask where his personal favourite spots in this vibrant city were, and here's what he gave us.
1. THE ARMORY
"For those not familiar, KINK.COM is one of the finest purveyors of BDSM porn in the industry. Their studios are housed in San Francisco’s Armory which is huuuuuuge. It’s a great place to take a date and get a peek into the kink world. I was especially fond of The Upper Floor."
2. CASTRO THEATRE SING-A-LONG
"The Castro Theatre, an SF landmark built in 1922, hosts sing a longs to popular musicals. Anything from The Sound of Music to my favorite the R. Kelly Trapped in The Closet sing a long. They turn the subtitles on so everyone can get involved. Dress up encouraged."
3. MONARCH
"This club is near and dear to my heart. It’s home to my monthly party ‘Hey Young World.’ A place where locals and passerby's alike feel welcomed to get down for the funk of it. Warm and cozy disco downstairs, swanky cocktail bar upstairs. Oh, and not to mention they have a Void sound system!"
4. BROWN SUGAR KITCHEN
"This is my go to brunch spot. It’s in West Oakland, the gateway to the East Bay. BEST chicken and waffles in the game."
5. ARCHIMEDES BANYA
"I just found out about this Russian style spa, it’s located in South San Francisco, which is really close to the airport, which makes it a convenient post-flight ritual. They offer naked yoga on the rooftop every Sunday with gorgeous views of the Bay."
