What to eat on the Central Coast and where to eat it with Chymes

Although they haven't been on the scene for long, CHYMES, aka the duo of multi-instrumentalist Cameron Taylor and vocalist Kiersten Nyman, have been a wonderful force of nature.

Chymes have that instinctive and rare ability to draw a listener into their own intimate world. Full of gently flirtatious beats, haunting lyrics, their unique brand of electronic-pop has captured an audience around the globe with their debut EP, Glow.

It's a sound we described as "something of an oxymoron, challenging the typical view innocence. Light pad sounds give the song a soft ambiance, with the sweetness of both Kiersten Nyman‘s voice and the warmth of Cameron Taylor‘s harmonies create the innocent facade."

Now that the guys have a bit of downtime, we checked in with Chymes to see what's good to eat around their way. And with the options laid out below, we might have to stop in on our way to Splendour anyway!

"World's best vegetarian spring rolls and dipping sauce. Hot with a sweet and spicy crunch. They are mouth watering goodness. Really love their tofu and vegetable pad see ew as well."

Grand Pavilion Terrigal (Indian)

"The butter chicken dish at this place is seriously the bomb.com. Not to mention their lentil dahl! *drool*"

Crave Sushi (Japanese)

"Never even heard of lotus root chips before until this place. They are so tasty. We tried to recreate them at home, but it was a bit of a fail."

"Can't beat the ham and pineapple pizza on a crispy base with basil pesto. And for $5 it's our go-to meal on a lazy evening"

"This wide, open beach is our default location on a hot summer day. Except for when the waves are too big for Kiersten's liking."

The Haven

"Perfect for Kiersten, because there are no waves!"

Shelly Beach

"Cam's favourite, but not Kierstens place to be. The waves are too big and scary for her."

Pearl Beach

"Definitely a holiday location for many. So picturesque and lovely relaxed and happy people!"
