Have You Heard: The Buzzard Mix

When did you start making music and why? We started at the rehearsal rooms of the Newcastle Conservatorium Of Music in 2012, united by our love of vintage Jamaican ska and rocksteady.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Rocksteady soul ska

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Fat Freddy's Drop, Based On A True Story. This band inspires us to push our boundaries and go deeper. Recently our whole band and friends and family went to see them at the Hordern.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Driving out of town together and playing country festivals where you play under the night sky and party until late, so so so rock'n'roll. 

Why should people come and see your band? If you like your rhythm steady, your brass sassy and sultry vocals, The Buzzard Mix is not to be missed.

When and where for your next gig? We are so excited to be playing The Gum Ball on Friday 22 April at 4.30pm.
