Name: Jono Gilmour
When did you start making music and why? 2012. We were into a mixed bag of doom metal, stoner rock, black metal, etc along with some very non-metal things and wanted to make the kind of music we wanted to hear.
Sum up your musical sound in four words? Heavy, grim, ethereal, adventurous
If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Summoning - Old Mornings Dawn. I've been listening to it almost every day for months and it isn't wearing out its welcome yet.
Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Probably our album launch at The Tote earlier this year. To toil in obscurity so much but then to have the reception we did was really cool. Also supporting Acid King at Cherry recently was a highlight.
Why should people come and see your band? Because we sound good and have interesting material.
When and where for your next gig? This Friday, 28 October at Newcastle Leagues Club, followed by Saturday at Factory Floor Sydney and Sunday at Crowbar in Brisbane.
