When did you start making music and why? I started making music in the womb, practising double kicks on my mother's uterus.
Sum up your musical sound in four words? Funky, heavy, angular, catchy.
If you could support any band in the world — past or present — who would it be? Early Incubus. They completely owned funky/heavy, and leaked creativity from every orifice.
If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? You evil bastard, that's like choosing a favourite child. Probably any Mr Bungle album. Extremely dense, awesome tunes, and stylistically all encompassing. With every listen you hear something new.
Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? We had about 30 fans come back to a Penthouse apartment after a show in the UK, which our booking agent sorted out. By the end of the night our conversations had less point than a tennis ball.
Why should people come and see your band? It's a wildly entertaining night of energy, originality and musical dexterity, fuelled by a decade of blood, sweat and beers.
When and where for your next gig? 17 Oct in Brisbane at The Zoo, with Shanghai and RVLR. It's our first show back in Australia in two years.
