When did you start making music and why? 2011, I was living in the Middle East and was inspired by the sounds and culture around me. I decided to fuse the Arabesk, jazz influences and contemporary production techniques.
Sum up your musical sound in four words? Percussive, exotic, contemporary, exciting.
If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? My Funny Valentine (Miles Davis). An eternally interesting and incredibly deep live album which showcases amazing interplay between Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, George Coleman, Tony Williams and Ron Carter.
Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Jamming with US music legend Wynton Marsalis in Doha, Qatar.
