Have You Heard: Lady Lash

When did you start making music and why? I'd been listening to music practically all my life thanks to mum and dad. When I was 13 the words in songs began to make impact. Writing poems was my first instinct before creating lyrics.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Sultry, tough, honest, conscious.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Tupac - All Eyez On Me. I felt a connection to this man who wore his heart on his sleeve. Or the theme song from The NeverEnding Story, ha ha.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? I fell over on stage, onto the drum kit, and kept singing while on the ground. The crowd went wild. Also, working with established artists from all walks of life.

Why should people come and see your band? There's a spiritual connection with my music for the listener. If people want to feel something different, come along!

When and where for your next gig? 7 Jul at Klub Koori, Carriageworks in Sydney. Doors open at 7pm.
