When did you start making music and why? Great Love is a brand new Melbourne band, but I've been making music for over 20 years. I always wanted to write the soundtrack to peoples real life.
Sum up your musical sound in four words? Smart, eclectic, folk rock
If you could support any band in the world — past or present — who would it be? Wilco or Ron Sexsmith
If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Ron Sexsmith's self titled. This guy knows how to create melodies and stories that take you through every emotion possible. Secret Heart will never get tired and old.
Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? I got to record with Neil Finn in his NZ studio. When he sang harmonies on two of my songs I was happy to die right there in that NZ chair. I can't wait to share these tracks.
Why should people come and see your band? Great Love has the musical prowess of some of Melbourne’s seasoned musicians with exciting compositions and exotic chords.
When and where for your next gig? Sunday 28th June @ The Evelyn Hotel, Brunswick. 8pm. Playing with Lisa Crawley & Heloise.
