Have You Heard: Escelade

How did you get together? I used to play as a solo acoustic artist. Meg offered to put cello and piano on some songs I was looking to record, the songs evolved into something even better and we became Escelade.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Alternative, blues, jazz, folk.

If you could support any band in the world – past or present – who would it be? That would definitely have to be Incubus. Preferably at Red Rocks.

You’re being sent into space, no iPod, you can bring one album – what would it be? In Rainbows – Radiohead. If I spent my time in space listening to this album over and over, I would be a happy man.

Greatest rock’n’roll moment of your career to date? Supporting Neil Finn from Crowded House with my old band.

Why should people come and see your band? We play music because we love it, our songs don’t sound the same...  also we have a cool skeletor cello.

When and where for your next gig? Acoustic Candlelight Sessions on 3 Dec at Kidogo Arthouse.
