When did you start making music and why? I've played since I was little but didn't start writing until I deferred a classical degree at 22. A teacher of mine encouraged me to sing, booked me my first gig and changed my life.
Sum up your musical sound in four words? Vintage Americana widescreen alt-country.
If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Always the hardest question to answer! I've just fallen in love with Hammer & Nails by The Staple Singers and right now I could imagine listening to that forever and never tiring.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? I don't know if I'm ever particularly rock'n'roll! Singing live at Music City Roots was a great moment. I nearly cut off Jim Lauderdale as we sang Heart Of Gold for the finale so I guess that's a little rock'n'roll!
Why should people come and see your band? If you like songs about boozy nights, bad decisions, broken hearts and the best intentions. And the amazing Mean Reds.
When and where for your next gig? Harvest Festival in Chelsea on 7 May at 2pm. Full band show!
