Hamish Hudson Loves Being Heckled

"I love being heckled! It rarely happens though and I can only presume it's because I sing a lot of songs and it's hard to hear heckles over the music."

"It would be so easy for all comedians to not stick their necks out there, not perform and just sit at home watching 'CSI Northcote'," Hamish Hudson muses, "but the fact that we get to make a room full of people who we don't know laugh their heads off is a blessing that I never take for granted." Hudson got his start after he took out a RAW Comedy heat "at the first crack" and, when asked when his sides last split from laughter, he offers, "watching Donald Trump".

This is the barefoot uke player's Melbourne International Comedy Festival debut and Hudson enthuses, "I am relishing the opportunity to share my humour with as many people as possible". MICF brings with it an "incredible vibe throughout the CBD" and Hudson admits, "I love it when you spruik your show to people you don't know on the street, and promise them a laugh and then they say they will come to your show and then they do and you make them laugh. It's the best." You may find Hudson frequenting Max Watt's (this year's Festival Club venue) post-show as well. "I love a winddown ale and a bit of mess-talking with fellow comics and punters who enjoyed the show," he confesses.

Hudson may regret telling us the following: "I love being heckled! It rarely happens though and I can only presume it's because I sing a lot of songs and it's hard to hear heckles over the music."
