H&M Comes To Perth. Prepare To Line Up.

11 September 2015 | 4:17 pm | Staff Writer

Is it worth the wait?

If you haven’t heard already, Swedish fashion powerhouse H&M has joined the likes of Topshop and Zara by opening its first store in Perth. More than 1600 people were waiting in line by 9am at the Lakeside Joondalup shop last Saturday, ready to grab the first pick of H&M’s clothing range.

We speak to Elizabeth Cave, PR Manager for H&M Australia, about what all the fuss is about, and we can expect to see in store this season.

What is H&M all about?  H&M is all about fashion and quality and the best price in the most sustainable way.

Who should shop at H&M? At H&M Joondalup we offer the latest fashion for everyone, from womens and mens to kids.

Why did you decide to open Perth's first H&M at Lakeside Joondalup? Joondalup Shopping Centre has a good redevelopment and it has allowed us to build a great H&M store within the centre.

How big is it? The store is two levels spread over 2,200 square meters.

What can people expect to find in store? Hopefully the fashion they have been looking for! The store really offers something for all our customers – from sports to suiting or a fun spring dress! There is also a huge area for accessories and shoes. The kids section also caters for babies all the way up to teens.

What have you noticed on trend in fashion this spring/summer? For women it’s all about colourful prints and adding the perfect accessory. Boho maxi dresses paired back with a casual wide brim hat. Statement necklaces are also huge this season and can provide an update to any wardrobe. For men it’s all about modern, clean dressing. A neutral slim chino with a coloured collar polo or shirt will have you looking sharp for any occasion.

Can we expect more H&M’s to be opening in Perth in the near future? We are certainly hoping too.
