What is it about Spotted Mallard that makes you want to a run of shows there? The sound is very good. The room is decorated like an old Russian restaurant and the band can be seen from many different angles.
Same set every week or mixing it up? Different sets. We're undergoing intensive rehearsals at the moment which means lots of tricky new songs.
Any special guests going to make an appearance during your tenure? Yes. David Bowie is performing with us this Sunday.
Favourite position at the venue when you're not on stage? At the bar is probably the best place. but the big 'beer garden' that overlooks Sydney Rd from the second floor is pretty nice on a warm day.
Which menu item is best served with TEK TEK Ensemble? Beer-battered fish and chips Mallard-style aka ‘beerfish'.
When are you in residence? Every Sunday in October. 4.30-6.30pm.
