It's Friday The 13th! Get Your Groove On With These Spooky Tunes From TV Shows

13 August 2021 | 2:54 pm | Staff Writer

Terrifying tracks and scary songs abound!

It may be unlucky for some, but this Friday the 13th is as good excuse as any to revisit some of the scariest not-so-real tunes from our favourite shows of the past few years. Sit back and enjoy these creepy and catchy jams.

Robin Daggers - PS I Love You

The How I Met Your Mother canon of Robin Scherbatsky as a teen pop star is one of the show's more ridiculous running gags. However, the sitcom turned it up to 11 when her alter ego Robin Sparkles went full Alanis Morissette and became the darkly brooding Robin Daggers. According to rock legend and Rush bassist Geddy Lee, "That day is now known in music history as the day that grunge was born."

Boyz 4 Now - I Love You So Much It's Scary

Who else is peeved that Halloween isn't about love anymore? Damn, have we forgotten the true meaning of the spooky season already? Boyz 4 Now haven't - and the teen faves from Bob's Burgers are here to remind everyone that it's not all candy and costumes. Get close with your loved one, light a candle, and make sure you tell them, I Love You So Much It's Scary.

Tracy Jordan - Werewolf Bar Mitzvah

30 Rock's Tracy Jordan apparently managed to nab himself a gold record for this party song - according to the show's lore at least. Also, recognise that voice coming in at the beginning? That's Childish Gambino! Alter ego of Donald Glover, the artist was working as a writer on the sitcom at the time and helped co-write the tune.

Agatha Harkness - Agatha All Along

Okay, massive WandaVision spoilers incoming, so be warned: When the beloved supporting character Agatha Harkness - played by the inimitable Kathryn Hahn - was revealed to be pulling the strings throughout the entire season, fans were treated to this incredible new theme tune just for her and her dastardly ways. Serving up some serious Addams Family vibes with the baritone vocals and spooky sax, this is one hell of a villain's anthem.

Garth & Kat - The Halloween Collection

Any excuse to chuck in an appearance from these insane creations from SNL alum Fred Armisen and Kristen Wiig simply has to be taken. The completely unscripted and improvised tunes from the duo, who also try to sing in unison while they make it up, is a hilarious acrobatics display of comedy that has to be seen to be believed. Despite all this, you'll still get these tunes stuck in your head somehow.
