More Fred Again.. More Fred Again..

Fred again.. is continuing to cause a frenzy Down Under after revealing the location of his secret Gold Coast pop-up show on Saturday, March 9 would be taking place at Doug Jennings Park.

Posting to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, March 6, the UK record producer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and puppet master posted a Google Maps video of the venue, which is located on The Spit on the Gold Coast.

“Guys I think this is going to be the most epic/beautiful pop-up we’ve done yet.. If you got tickets check your email in like an hour,” Fred wrote.

Later, GC fans received an email confirming that the venue would take place at Doug Jennings Park, along with further information regarding the show (check this out below).

It comes after the adore u hitmaker announced last week he would be heading Down Under for a string of both arena and pop-up shows — the former of which sold out in a matter of hours.

As we predicted on Feb. 27, the cheeky muso dropped the news he would be performing a slew of arena shows in Melbourne, Sydney and an unnamed venue in the Gold Coast after he surprised fans by announcing he had landed in the country and performing at Sydney’s Opera House that night.

Following the show, Fred revealed that — as suspected — more shows were to be announced.

“This isn’t the end, we didn’t come all this way for just one show. We are going to announce a bunch more tomorrow,” he told the crowd at the time.

Staying true to his word, he then revealed he would be performing three shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on March 4, 5 and 6, a pop-up show at the Gold Coast, and three shows at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on March 12, 13 and 14.

However, the international star has also been seen popping up at independent venues at the last minute across the country.

After sending Sydneysiders into a frenzy with a surprise show at rave venue Club 77 on Thursday night (29 February), Fred Again.. did it again on Saturday morning (March 2) when he crashed Chapel Street’s iconic bar Revolver Upstairs in Melbourne for a surprise breakfast set.

Appearing at around 9 am, Fred put on a secret show, getting fans jumping up and down (and filming) Delilah (pull me out of this) at Revs for the morning rave.

With much discussion surrounding the secrecy of the Gold Coast pop-up show at Doug Jennings Park, many have speculated that the show could come in the form of a mini-festival — rumoured to be under the name ‘Hive’.

Other whispers from the rumour mill — revealed exclusively to Purple Sneakers — suggest that Fred will pop up on Friday, March 8, for a surprise pop-up in a town between Gold Coast and Byron Bay. Meanwhile, others are convinced that a local Brisbane venue could very well be a possibility for another pop-up on Sunday, March 10.

Even more excitingly, rumour has it that he’s set to drop even more arena shows in the coming days.

While the speculations cannot be confirmed until the man himself drops it, one thing is for certain — Fred again.. is set to keep us on our toes, so stay tuned to see what comes next from the cryptic musical mastermind — but we hear there is still some more surprises in store…
