If you live in Perth, you've likely seen the work of Jessee Lee Johns around the CBD. From the superb mural next to Kakulas on William street (guarding the space soon to become Young Love Mess Hall) to Grand Lane (which faithfully houses Toastface Grillah), he's that artist with the intricate style, super thin aerosol lines, and a habit of constructing entire miniature worlds within murals. Hailing from Perth, he's exhibited in a growing number of group shows around the country, with a fine arts degree from Curtin University and a strong background in graffiti. It's this combination that lends to his unique practice, having left a distinctive mark across cities throughout Australia, Europe, Asia and the United States. Most recently, you can find him painting at the North Fremantle Rail Bridge tomorrow as part of the Underline Project.
