Who/what is the benefit for? Save Beeliar Wetlands and Rethink the Perth Freight Link. There are better freight solutions for the southern metro region.
Why do they need help? The Liberal Government has plans to force a six-lane truck tollway through the wetlands at Bibra and North Lakes to East Fremantle without releasing details, a business case or traffic modelling.
What’s the current situation like? Homes in Palmyra and Willagee and 97.8 hectares of beautiful urban bush are slated to be bulldozed. Hamilton Hill residents may be next. Truck congestion and pollution would damage Freo, North Freo and amenity everywhere.
