Sydney's iconic pop-up bar The Island Bar on Cockatoo Island will be relocating after five successful summers.
"After five years of establishing the bar as one of the must-go destinations in Sydney for great drinks, food and good times right on the harbour, it's time for something new," says co-owner Mike Edkins.
The award-wining bar has clocked 350,000 visitors since its launch in December 2010, and is the largest standing pop-up of its kind in this city. It was even named one of Lonely Planet's 'Top 50 Bars in the World' for 2015.
Last drinks for the location will be on 29 Feb, and then all the shipping containers, pizza ovens, beach furniture and Astro Turf will be packed up and moved to their next location, to be announced before next summer.
