Flight of the Conchords Announce Australian Tour

Comedy duo from New Zealand Flight of the Conchords bring their hilarious antics to Australia for their first Australian headlining tour.

Time to relieve some of that inner city pressure -- in what is possibly the best news since baby animals, Flight of the Conchords will be touring Australia as headliners for the first time in July.

After doing their rounds on the stand-up comedy scene, Flight of the Conchords created a radio series for BBC Radio 2, and blew up in popularity with their self-titled television series for HBO, garnering them ten Emmy nominations and a nomination for Best Comedy Series from the Writers' Guild of America.

New Zealand's self-proclaimed "fourth most popular folk-parody duo" aren't just a product of hype, however. A listen to their records reveals incredible versatility and musicianship, with each song being from a different genre to the next, from an a capella jam on 'Friends', to dub-something on 'Boom' to the infamous rap battle 'Hiphopopotamus Vs. Rhymenocerous'. Their lyrics are catchy, witty, and, above all, funny, making you look like an idiot as you snort in laughter on public transport ("Yes, sometimes my lyrics are sexist/But you lovely bitches and hoes should know I'm trying to correct this" - 'Hiphopopotamus Vs. Rhymenocerous').

Seamlessly blending catchy tunes with hilarious lyrics, be sure to catch Flight of the Conchords, and dance the night away with the only kind of dance left: the robot -- oh, and the robo-boogie. Two kinds of dances.

Watch 'Business Time' and be prepared to sweat and giggle uncomfortably in the way that only Flight of the Conchords can make you below.
