Although most of us were only youngsters upon its release, Primal Scream’s 1991 masterpiece Screamadelica, (Creation) took us all to the other side.
Often acknowledged as one of the greatest records of the 90’s this pastiche of colours and tones has become a modern classic within the blink of an eye. Drawing on a range of varying influences Screamadelica saw Primal Scream branch out into the world of house, soul n gospel, psyche and dub throwing each of these into their studio melting pot creating a spectrum of blissful, cerebral sounds (they do an amazing version of The 13th Floor Elevators' Slip Inside This House !!).
So for any of you out there who got to see The ‘Scream live in 2011 during their Big Day Out tour, or if you were lucky enough to get tickets to a side show, I’m sure you’d agree with me when I say to all those who are yet to experience… Do yourself a favour and GET YO’ SELF A COPY OF THIS RECORD! You certainly won’t regret it.
