FEATURE ARTIST: Jagwar Ma

Did you love Lost Valentinos? We did. You'll love Jono Ma's new project Jagwar Ma just as much, we're sure.

While Lost Valentinos haven’t been around for a while, that doesn’t mean former members of the collective aren’t keeping busy; none more so than the multi-talented Jono Ma. From living and mixing in Berlin, producing the latest Foals album and working in the studio with Nick Littlemore, to writing the score for TV series The Slap, Ma now has another project set to rock listeners yearning for a little taste of Lost Valentinos with a new edge.

JAGWAR MA is the latest musical endeavour to come from Ma with his first split single to be released on limited 7” and available for download on the February 27. Both singles are mesmerising with a touch of Lost Valentinos nostalgia mixed in for good measure. 'Come Save Me' taps into '60s pop, Screamadelica-style psychedelia, anchored to indie dance. The song also features Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint on drums, vocals by Gabriel Winterfield and a dynamic film clip. The second single 'What Love?' is a tight electro-inspired hit which is pulsing, hypnotic and incredibly catchy.

Already picked by NME as one of their “100 Artists to Watch” in 2012, Jagwar Ma is quickly gaining plenty of attention worldwide.
