When and where are you speaking? The Push & FReeZA Mentoring Presents Music Careers: Building Your Personal Brand

What’s your area of expertise and what experience do you have? I work freelance. Currently I’m working on the publicity for AWME and Ding Dong Lounge, Speaker TV producing video content for the national television show, as well as their Melbourne Music Week all ages show with Allday & L-FRESH The LION. I also book the artists for Melbourne Fashion Festival.

What topics will you be talking about at Face The Music? Education, volunteering and internships - it’s all part of building towards that dream job; however can we do more to pave our way forward? This session will look at increasing your value through entrepreneurialism and innovation, by making you the product. How do you approach starting a business?

What do you hope to learn from Face The Music? I always learn something new from Face The Music. A couple of years ago I sat in on a merchandise panel, which was incredibly insightful. This year I’m hoping to once again be surprised about what I learn.

What are you most looking forward to at Face The Music? Probably the same as everyone else... Steve Albini

What’s one question about the music industry you’d love to have the answer to? Where do I start....

Face The Music takes place at Melbourne's Art Centre Friday 14 and Saturday 15 November. Tickets will be available at the door. More info here.
