"I'll be talking about music journalism — what it looks like in 2015, why do it, how to do it, and if we should be doing it."

Position:
Music journalist/editor

How did you first become involved in the music business? Started as a musician, making albums and touring around etc, then got frustrated with the mainstream music press ignoring all my friends' excellent bands and co-founded Mess+Noise.

What's your area of expertise and what experience do you have? I left Mess+Noise in 2008 to be Music Editor at TheVine, where I was a journalist and editor for six years. Now I freelance for Rolling Stone, The Age, Guardian, FasterLouder, and my own thing.

What topics will you be mostly talking about at Face The Music? I'll be talking about music journalism — what it looks like in 2015, why do it, how to do it, and if we should be doing it.
