Position: Co-Founder of One of One
How did you first become involved in the music business? After years of building my work experience — volunteering at festivals, interning at labels, putting on gigs, studying music business — I was lucky to land an internship at AIR which led to full time.
What's your area of expertise and what experience do you have? I've worked at AIR for over six years as the Charts, Membership and Communications Manager. My area of expertise is in the independent market in Australia. AIR produce the annual Independent Music Awards.
What topics will you be mostly talking about at Face The Music? I am Co-Founder of the website One of One which spotlights women in the Australian Music Industry. I'll be on a panel where we'll be discussing positive women initiatives that are happening in the industry.
What do you hope to personally take away from Face The Music? I'm hoping that our panel can inspire more women to work within the Australian music industry.
