EXCLUSIVE: The Weeping Willows - River Of Gold

More The Weeping Willows The Weeping Willows

Melburnian alt folk duo The Weeping Willows are spooning us a taste of their upcoming second album, Before Darkness Comes A'Callin', today, ahead of its March 4 release.

The earthy River Of Gold is the album's lead single, featuring Andrew Wrigglesworth and Laura Coates' perfectly harmonised voices upon a bed of jaunty banjo.

Recorded in LA with Grammy-winning sound engineer Ryan Freeland, the record features the upright bass stylings of David Piltch, Tommy Detamore's pedal steel, Luke Moller on fiddle and mandolin and Kevin Breit on banjo, as well as additional vocals from fellow Melburnian Sweet Jean.
