The Sydney-based product knocks his five-tracker out of the park..
"PHUZZ BOY is a five track journey reflecting the odd evolution of my world in 2018..." So begins Sydney-based artist TIMI TEMPLE on his debut EP, which is officially out later this week, although we're very excited to be streaming it a few days earlier for you. "It’s an honest, deep, and relatable diary entry into my life. I think my EP will resonate best with millennials, with lyrics reflecting on time and age, losing and making friends, and coming to terms with childhood dreams versus adult reality.."
Created entirely by the man himself ("I'm not sure when it happened, but, maybe last year, I fell deeply and inextricably in love with a DIY mentality"), it features a couple of singles he's already released (Young Man, Old Boy and 2pm For Breakfast), along with new tracks Snek Boy, Pretty Boy and Dreams, As A Kid, which all coalesce into a pretty damn fantastic collection of psych-infused rock'n'roll. It has themes that range from dealing with the 9-5 rat race, gender representation in the music industry to growing up and dodgy "friends", but all delivered with an irresistible panache that begs you to rock the f out.
Take a listen below, and catch him live supporting Great Gable this Saturday and Jackie Brown Jr next Friday, or celebrating this EP's release on Thursday 6 December at the Bank Hotel in Newtown (more info HERE).
