EP PREMIERE: Radolescent - 'Excellent People'
Gold Coast surf-punk five-piece Radolescent have dropped their second EP, Excellent People, today.
According to frontman Isaac Atkinson, the name was a bit of serendipitous luck that pays tribute to mates and good times.
"Excellent People was initially just the band joking around with titles and finding abbreviations for EP," he stated.
"Many months later, a box of old Polaroids appeared from Rachel's closet and the name was cemented with many old images containing all of our friends from the past decade, countless memories of festivals and parties, birthdays and cruisy Sundays."
Atkinson said the release is "an ode to all things people," and added, "Upon Rachel joining the band, we then tracked the vocals and sent the stems to Greg Reitwyk from Lunchroom Records in Melbourne. Finally the help of Dan Walker in New York was enlisted to master the tracks and the record was complete.
"A process truly full of excellent people, even down to the group vocals at the end of Home, captured in the inside the bedroom during a party held when nothing was open due to restrictions. A COVID responsible party of course!"
