Artist/Band: Hidden Candy
Name: Ash King
EP Title?: Hidden Candy EP
How many releases do you have now? This is our debut release, and the first time we've all hit the studio together.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? We were buzzing from seeing The Rolling Stones live, and had recently seen awesome live shows from The Preatures and Clairy Browne's band. We wanted to make an EP that makes people want to party!
What's your favourite song on it? Let It Go - inspired by the old school, country, Elton John-style ballads, and gets folks singing along.
We'll like this EP if we like... ...old school rock & roll from the late 60's & 70's. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers vibes, with some Tedeschi Trucks and Gary Clark Jnr thrown in for good measure.
When and where is your launch/next gig? Our official EP launch is at Frankie's Pizza in Sydney on Wed 24th June. Free entry, hot pizza, whiskey and rock & roll at our favourite place to party.
