What kind of courses do you offer? ANAM offers two study pathways:

The Professional Performance Program - an intensive 12-month performance-based training program in solo, chamber and orchestral training and performance.

ANAM Fellowship - awarded to exceptional individuals or ensembles that have a particular program/project objective they wish to realise.

Do you offer practical on-site learning or more of a theoretical base? ANAM's core focus is around performance-based training. To maximise their performance skills, we offer students the opportunity to perform to a live audience in over 180 concerts each year. Students perform with ANAM's acclaimed faculty and a host of national and international guest artists.

What makes you different to other educational institutions? ANAM's point of difference is that we are focused on providing the students with the best pedagogical training through the ANAM faculty and guest artists, while also providing them with the platform to engage in as many performance opportunities as possible.

What kind of social activities do you offer? ANAM runs an annual concerto competition where the finalists get the opportunity to perform their concerto with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. ANAM also holds an annual chamber music competition culminating in a public performance of the finalists. Each competition is held in high regard in the ANAM performance calendar.

Do you offer job opportunities, internships, or other ways to help students get ahead? ANAM works with Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy and are in our first year of partnership with the Berliner Philharmoniker. Partnerships are also arranged with Four Winds festival, where student ensembles undertake community-based performance programs among other relationships and collaborative projects we offer with Australian-based organisations.
