What’s happened with the venue since your last birthday? The Frankie's standard week of five shows across seven days of hard partying. It's a tireless gig.

What do you put the success of your venue down to? Consistency.

Has anyone ever worn their birthday suit in your club (if so who/what happened)? This is almost a nightly thing, yes.

What’s the weirdest thing in the last year you’ve found when the lights have come on? Sleepers. Yep, we're a late night joint and not everyone knows when to take themselves home.

What’s the thing you’re most proud of that your club’s contributed to the music scene in the last year? Our commitment to investing in acts. Every single show here is free entry, an investment with no guaranteed return.

What sort of celebration is in order (who’ve you got playing on the night, anything out of the ordinary planned)? A party for our friends, our favourite bands and anyone else who wants to join! Kingswood, Lockhearts, House Band, TwoAge

The record I’m loving right now is… The Darkness — One Way Ticket. They came down to DJ last week and it's spurred me to rediscover their fucking awesome back catalogue. Great guests always leave that affect.

When's the party? Sunday December 6. Doors from 4, bands from 8. Kingswood are 11pm, flying here straight after their AccaDacca support in Melbourne. No guestlists or VIP treatment, you're all a priority!
