Short description of your band and your music: Indie, psychedelic, electronic with epic bits of bass and Moroccan space tunes.

Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? Not at all, I guess we like to party now and then, but we're music nerds through and through. We spend more time chasing beats and tunes than chasing down dealers and after-parties.

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? There's been a great many travels and crazy times. We've headlined festivals to 20,000 people and made some great music, though the greatest thing by far is black skinny jeans.

Are your ambitions mainly artistic or commercial? I'm not sure if anyone would answer commercial even if it were true? We're way too obscure musically to be considered commercial; if it was for the money I'd have finished that law degree. 

Is your music best rendered in the studio or the live realm? Our new album is a sort of concept album, so I'd recommend listening to it on a good set of headphones. If you want to feel the adrenaline then come and see us live.

If you could have any act past or present join you on your next tour who would you tap? The Beatles, but why not bring on Frank Zappa and LCD Soundsystem just for kicks?

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? I'd like to see where everyone's heads are at. I'd like to see what other people in this very weird industry are thinking and see where we sit.
