How did you first become involved in the music industry and how did you end up where you are today? I started booking punk shows in Vancouver and that led me into touring, eventually moving to Toronto to join The Agency Group.
What's been the biggest change in the music industry you've seen over the past 12 months? Our ability to identify and expose issues and create a conversation about change.
What do you think will be the biggest issue affecting the music industry in the next 12 months and why? Data – how we're gathering it and ultimately using it.
What advice would you give young practitioners in your area starting out today? Fake it ‘til you make it.
What will you be primarily discussing during your appearance at the BIGSOUND conference and what are you hoping that people will be able to learn from your panel? I imagine the focus is going to be on touring, though I hope the takeaway may include creative and strategic ideas on how to approach North America and building an audience.
